Quickguide
Install the eLicenser Control Center Software and download your Vienna Imperial license with the activation code you received via e-mail after your registration.
Install the Vienna Imperial Software – find the latest updates of the sample player in MyDownloads.
Download the Sample Content from MyDownloads (short description in the column on the left).
Software Installation
You will find the later Vienna Imperial Software Installer in MyDownloads.
Launch the installer by double-clicking on its icon. Follow the instructions to install the software.
On a Windows machine you will be asked for locations to store the stand-alone software and VST plug-in (preferably in your sequencer's plug-in folder).
Installed Programs and Files
Vienna Imperial comes with quite a few additional files that will be installed in the Programs/Applications Folder. Vienna Instruments Standalone is explained later in this manual, UninstallVienna Imperial on OS X can be used if you'd like to roll back to an earlier version.
OS X:
Additionally, the plug-ins for VST/AU/RTAS/AAX will be installed in /Library/Audio/Plug-ins.
Windows:
Additionally, VST / RTAS / AAX Plug-ins will be installed in a location of your choice.
- Directory Manager: links your sample content with your ViennaImperial Software.
- Uninstall Vienna Imperial (OS X only): Uninstalls Vienna Imperial Software.
- Vienna Imperial Library Installer: Installs the Vienna Imperial Sample Content from DVD or from your Download Folder (optional, if you don't want to use the Download Manager for installation, e.g., on a slave computer).
- Vienna Imperial Standalone: Stand-alone version of Vienna Imperial.
- Vienna Imperial Standalone 64-bit (WIN only): Stand-alone version of Vienna Imperial, in 64-bit.
Directory Manager
All Vienna software includes a utility called Directory Manager which keeps track of the drives and folders your data is installed in, providing that information for Vienna Instruments and Vienna Imperial. Your Sample Content is assigned automatically when you install a new Vienna Instruments Collection.
Caution
Missing folders (e.g., when a hard-drive is disconnected or the name/path has changed) will be displayed in RED.

The Library Installer takes care of the installation of your Vienna Imperial DVD Collections.
Start the ViennaImperialLibrary Installer , point it to the 'package.info' file on your DVD #1 and you will be guided through the installation process.

The Vienna Download Manager takes care of the installation automatically (for all Download Products).
