Nepalese Driving Licence Check

You can use this service to check someone’s driving licence information, for example, vehicles they can drive or any penalty points or disqualifications.

  • How to Check the results of the Driving License’s Written Test Exam? To check the result of your written test, users have to follow few simple steps mentioned below: Compose an SMS on your phone with the text WT application id number Send the SMS to 33001. After a while, you will receive an SMS with your results.
  • The license number is on the receipt that you received after submitting the card of trial pass. After that click on check license to know the status of your license. A date will be given to you if your license has been printed. Then go to the transportation office to receive your Smart license after a month of the date that you received.

If the licence expired before 31 December 2020

Driving licences or entitlements to drive that expired between 1 February and 31 December 2020 were automatically extended for 11 months. This is because of coronavirus (COVID-19).

This service only shows the original expiry date, not the extension. The extension started from the original expiry date.

Check someone’s driving licence online

You need:

  • the last 8 characters of their driving licence number
  • a check code from the driver

You must use the code within 21 days. You can only use the code once - you have to get another code to do another check.

Ask the driver you’re doing the check on to call DVLA and leave permission for the check.
